Interesting. The Lame-Stream Media has waged a gaslit campaign to try to dispel the “myth” that DC was built on a swamp. Yet the Fed’s own Department of Energy and Environment website states: “Historically, much of the original land in the District was a wetland…filled in the 1800’s, or reclaimed, to eliminate breeding grounds for the anopheles mosquitoes, which carry the malaria parasite.”
